Running and Nordic Walking – stay fit every day!

Nordic Walking as a fitness sport continues to enjoy great popularity. The Bavarian Forest’s fresh air and its hilly terrain is perfectly suited to practise this sport. In cooperation with the AOK Bayerwald (a local Health Insurance Company), we’ve selected four tracks of different length and different levels of difficulty  – each track starts at the parking site near the Karoli Water Park:

  • Route ‚Fountain of Youth’: 3 km (1.9 mi) for beginners and advanced – this route is a perfect opportunity for basic training
  • Vital Route: 4 km (2.5 mi) for advanced and sporty athletes – raise your overall fitness and stamina
  • Fitness Route: 8.5 km (5.3 mi) for demanding and powerful sports people – the challenging route helps increase your fitness and performance!
  • Technical Route: 3.5 km (2.2 mi) – this track helps refine your individual technique.

All trails are excellently sign-posted and give useful tips and instructions on the correct Nordic Walking technique. For further information, including route details, please click on this button to download a flyer.
